Cordada solves the wall that stops half the Android community: the 12 testers for 14 days that Google Play requires to move from closed testing to production.

We match you with other people publishing around the same dates, and you test each other's apps. Like a climbing rope team: several people tied to the same rope, each one belaying the next.

HOW IT WORKS

You join a cordada of 18 apps: Google's 12, plus slack so one dropout can't sink the cycle. We check your Play listing before you start, so if you haven't added the group as testers we tell you then, not after twelve people have crashed into your app. The cycle runs 14 days across five stages, each with its own deadline.

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT

Verified installs, not sworn ones. If your app reports its own use, the install confirms itself and nobody uploads screenshots. You see two separate numbers, verified and declared, because they aren't worth the same.

Feedback is free to read, always. Others charge to unlock it, which means developers never fix what they never read.

If an app breaks, you don't wait. On the fourth matching report we pull it from the cycle and it stops counting against you.

Direct chat with each app's developer.

PUBLISHING IS A DEPOSIT

The currency is metres of rope. Publishing costs 640 and half comes back when you complete every task in your cycle. It isn't a wage per task: it's a commitment, because anyone who quits halfway leaves the other seventeen stranded.

WHAT DATA WE ASK FOR, AND WHY

Cordada asks you to sign in with your Google account and accesses only your email address, your name and the account identifier. It needs them because Google Play's closed testing works per account: without your email we cannot register you as a tester or check that the group's apps will let you install them. We do not read your email, we do not touch your contacts or your files, and we never sell or hand those data to anyone. You can delete your account from the app's menu at any time. It is all detailed in the privacy policy linked on this same page.
